Location (Peace Garden or Robert Lawson Park, or both)? The Peace Garden.

How do you plan to publicize the activity and who do you expect will attend? We will post signs around the neighborhood, share on social media, and announce at the next ESNA meeting. We will also reach out to local gardening groups. We expect community members of all ages interested in bringing greenery into their homes.

Three weeks out: Post signs around the neighborhood, promote on social media, and announce at the next ESNA meeting. Reach out to local gardening groups. Connect with Pika Pollo about purchasing enough horchata and Allendale Farm about purchasing enough houseplants. Confirm Peace Garden availability (no permit required). Two weeks out: Obtain tables, chairs, pots, and potting mix. One week out: Obtain houseplants from Allendale Farm. Day of event: Set up at 4pm in the Peace Garden. Clean up at 7pm.

What are your anticipated outcomes from this activity? Community members will leave with a free houseplant and new knowledge about caring for it. Participants will have connected with neighbors and local businesses.

Budget:  $500 total — approximately $200 for horchata (Pika Pollo), $150 for houseplants (Allendale Farm), $100 for small pots, and $50 for potting mix.
