Neighbors' Night Out w/ La Diaspora Combo
It’s time for Neighbors Night Out! The Friends of Egleston Parks and Egleston Square Main Streets are hosting an evening of food, music, and dancing for all of our neighbors to enjoy.
Kick off the evening with a vinyl DJ set by @AngelJavierCamilo, learn some salsa moves during the Cuban dance lesson, and get ready for a live performance by the nine piece Latin band La Diaspora Combo. Food and refreshments provided by our local businesses. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a night under the Peace Garden lights. It’s going to be a great night of entertainment and it’s right in the heart of our neighborhood!

When: Sunday October 18th 2-6pm
Where: Peace Garden and on School Street
What: A block party hosted by Next Level Fusion, first hour of instructional dancing, followed by open dancing. All dance abilities are welcome! Dance instructors and Dance Ambassadors will be there to help everyone enjoy the music. This is the last in a series of 4 monthly dance socials!

Back to School Hair Cuts and Supplies
Lawson Barber Shop is hosting a back-to-school event with discounted haircuts and free school supplies. Co-sponsored by Friends of Egleston Parks, this event is open to all for a fun afternoon to get ready for the new school year. Join us this Sunday, August 30, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Haircuts: Lawson Barber Shop is offering $10 haircuts for kids 17 and under.
Selfie Station: Stop by the barbershop to grab a picture with your fresh new look!
Supplies & Refreshments: Head over to Lawson Park after your haircut to pick up a free bag of school supplies and enjoy some refreshments.
