Discover the deep roots of Egleston Square
A place where the many Egleston communities can find common ground
The Egleston Peace Garden is a pocket park created and maintained by the Egleston Square community at the meeting point between the Jamaica Plain and Roxbury neighborhoods of Boston.
It began with a pledge for peace
After extensive violence, the community came together to heal and cherish the memories of the lives that were lost.
There’s a lot more than just flowers
Get connected with the broader Egleston community, whether that’s digging in the dirt or nurturing social change.
“Peace cannot be achieved through violence,
it can only be attained through understanding.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
